Rise and fall in the name of Jesus

When I was a child, I went to the mass without wanting it, but I had to because my mother imposed that to me.
During the mass I used to speak with my friends, playing with game books (like Oberon or Lone Wolf), or maybe playing with cars or Transformers.

Once, during a Priest's speech, I heard something interesting. I rose my hand I said something.
I can't remember what I said, but I remember that all the people turned to me and the priest looked at me with great proudness.
In the end of the mass, all the parents came to compliment me and so did the priest.

I really can't remember what I said, but it had to be something really astonishing.

Well, the next week I went again to the mass.
The priest was telling us something like:
"If you're in the desert, you can't have with you your stereo or the TV, because they wouldn't work!"

So, in a low voice, I told to a friend of mine: "Well, if you have a walkman with the batteries, you're fine"
the priest heard something, but he didn't understand. But me, the great speecher, had talk, so with hope he asked me:
"Alex, do you want to say something?"

Everyonr turned to look at me, waiting for the new pearl of wisdom, that should have turned on their souls like the last time.

I grumbled: "Well.... yeah... if someone has a walkman with batteries... well, it would work"

The priest, hit by my humongous billshit, grumbled something and continued his speech.

My mother, talking about that moment, told me: "In the Church don't you ever talk anymore".
