The Expert, part 2

A couple of days ago we were talking about the expert in the train.

After the RAM wizardry trick, he expressed his thoughts. Here they are:
- When you run ONE program, you use your CPU. When you run TWO programs, then you use the RAM.
- Today (May 2008), the best operating system for playing is Windows 98.
- The only reason that makes Vista a bad SO is because "Computer's Resources" is now "Computer".
- 64 bit SO will be able to handle more memory, but they'll need a GeForce video card. What happens if I own an ATI card? His answear is that you'll need an NVidia card.

And here's a dialogue:
Guy in train: "Mobile phone are getting every day more powerful"
The Guru: "Tell me about it. Blackberries are the most powerful. You know, they use Windows XP! You couldn't believe it, WinXP in a cell phone! Doesn't even sounds real"

And it's not.

In reality Windows 98 IS the best OS for games ^_^. It's natively compatible with all great DOS games (it's a DOS ^_^) and DirectX till 6.1 (6.1a for SE) a time when graphics wasn't the only important thing in video games ^_^ and developers tried to add distictive features because graphic hw was limited ^_^. 98SE is also more stable than 98.
